The Process

One of the most common questions I am asked is, " Do you first see what you are going to make in the objects you find, or do you have an idea and then look for the parts to complete your project?"

I do both and a combination of the two. Sometimes I instantly see what the found object will turn into. Other times the idea comes first and I look for shapes and components to build my vision.

If I remember, I will takes pictures of the process of building a sculpture so that I can share the evolution of the construction.

I have included photographs here that show some of the stages that a sculpture has gone through to achieve the final results.
